On Tuesday, February 4th, SATEC 6th through 8th grade students listen to Mr. John Halligan as he shares his son’s tragic story.
Mr.Halligan shared an emotional story about his son, Ryan Halligan, who took his own life due to the effects of bullying and depression. We applaud our students for being a respectful audience and asking great questions regarding Ryan and his story.
Mr. Halligan encouraged our students "to not be a bystander, be an up-stander!" "Don't stand by and watch others get bullied, stand up and say something and reach out to others that can help." We encourage parents to take a few minutes tonight to discuss this presentation with their children.
