Thank you to all of you who participated in the lunch program this year.  With the end of the school year approaching, we would like to ask each family to review the status of their student’s lunch account.  You may do this online at www.abbeygroup.net through the K12 payment center link, or you can call the school at 752-2695.  It is the goal of the food service program and the school together to have each student’s account balance in a positive status by the last day of school.  Any remaining funds on the account will be there in the fall when school begins again.  Thanks very much and happy summer!!

Girls On The Run and Heart and Sole Opportunity
SATEC's Girls on the Run and Heart and Sole programs will be completing their season goal by participating in 5K run on Saturday, June 4th 2016. We have 28 girls in grade 3-7 that are in the program. We would love if our staff members participated too. You can sign up in advance to run/walk (click on the link below) or come that day and show your support.

8th Grade Athletic Banquet
SATEC’s Athletics will host it’s annual 8th Grade Athletic Banquet on Monday, June 6th from 6:00-8:00.  This night will dedicated to recognize any 8th grader that participated in a sport this year.  Invitations with more information will be mailed home.

The Franklin County Animal Rescue needs our help and POW (a CHAMP Community enrichment group) is organizing a collection drive for them. In speaking with Rusty at FCAR we discovered that they are in high need of cat food and litter. They have a very high number of cats and kittens at the shelter and in foster homes. Below is a wish list copied from their website.

Wish List

  • Canned Dog and Cat Food (Innova, California Natural, Wellness, Merrick, Eagle Brand)
  • Gentle Leader Harnesses or Head collars, Halti Head Collars, Lupine Martingale Collars
  • Durable Dog Chew Toys (Kong, Nylabone, hard rubber, Buster cubes, etc.)
  • Cleaning Supplies ( paper towels, toilet paper, dryer sheets,)
  • Clumping Cat Litter
  • 13 and 50 Gallon Trash Bags
  • Postage Stamps
  • Printer Paper
  • Dry Cat Food (Kirkland brand (Costco) Purple bag,  for cats and kitten
  • 50 foot Garden hose for kennels.

The homeroom that donates the most items will win a variety of baked goodies made by POW members.

Before the game, 2INSPIRE Dance Group will be performing and we will be recognizing SATEC outstanding Citizens for grades K-8! This is a great way to celebrate our awesome school and community. This event also serves at a Fundraiser for SATEC's Open Doors Summer and Afterschool programs. For every $6.00 ticket sold, Lake Monster's will give 1/2 of the ticket price back!

Help us find a name for our newly formed unified school district:
Contest: Seeking creative name for the new unified district.
We seek to find a name that will evoke what makes our communities special and uniquely related. The new district encompasses Fairfield, St. Albans City, St. Albans Town (and BFA).  It serves Pre K through 12th Grade, as well as the Northwest Technical Center.
Examples: Cold Hollow, South of France, Deerfield, etc.
Entry: Anyone - students, residents, teachers, etc. may submit an entry.
Get creative and come up with the selected name and you win bragging rights and will be recognized throughout the community. The current name, assigned by the state is Franklin Central Unified Union School District (FCUUSD).We hope our communities can come up with something more thought provoking.
The Supervisory Union has the right to reject any or all names to avoid any inappropriate entries.
