Pictures for athletics and extracurricular activities on Wednesday, February 1st

A reminder that we will be having a Winter Sports Pictures today from 3:30-4:30.

All cheerleading and basketball teams will meet after school to have their team and individual photos taken.

7 Boys team will have their practice right after their pictures are taken.

Student-athletes will need have their uniform for their picture.

5/6 Girls practice will be cancelled, and 8 Boys and 5/6 Boys White will presume with their scheduled practice times.

Extracurricular activities will also be getting their pictures taken for the yearbook today. between the hours of 1:30-3:30  Homeroom teachers will have provided with a schedule as well as overhead announcements.

Yearbook Announcement for parents of a 8th grade student.

This year’s yearbook committee has decided to continue the tradition of displaying pictures of the 8th grade class in the “younger years.”   Parents will have until February 17th to submit a photo. Photos can be brought to Ms. Rose in an envelope stating the first and last name and if you want the picture returned back to you. Please make sure you identify the photo.

        Our deadline is around the corner, therefore, we will not be accepting anything past the due date of February 17th. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Jennette, Ms. Rose, or a yearbook staff member.

School Sing Update

We have been collecting donated items for our homeless shelters for the past two months, and will be starting a new collection on February 3rd at our weekly School Sing gathering.  This collection is for Martha's Kitchen, and will run from Feb. 3rd through March 24th.

Requested items for Martha's Kitchen are:   

Canned foods:  Vegetables, fruit, baked beans and other bean varieties, tuna, chicken, pasta, chicken noodle and tomato soups.

Other foods:  Boxed macaroni and cheese/other pasta mixes, boxed/bagged rice, pudding and jello mixes, Kool-aid and other drink mixes, coffee, teabags, and boxed cereal.  No nuts, please.  

Other items:  Paper towels, garbage bags, napkins, and plastic silverware.

Thanks to all of you who have helped us fill the bin with items for our homeless shelters.  We really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity.
