My name is Katelyn Gardner and I’m a sophomore at BFA. I’m a student in Mr. Moulton’s, "We The People" class and for our final project we are doing a PBL (project based learning). Our PBL is all about us helping out our community. I’ve decided to collect presents for the Vermont Children’s hospital this holiday season. If you would like to donate please remember that there are teenagers too and they often don’t get a lot of donations for teenagers. Some gift ideas are stuffed animals, clothing, blankets and headphones but everything needs to be new and unused. I will be collecting gifts up until January 1st. We have a selection of SATEC apparel (sweatpants, sweatshirts, t-shirts) for sale in the back office.

CHAMP Community would like to host a Paint Nite Fundraiser for kids and adults.  The cost is $45 per painter.  We will make $15 from each ticket we sell. We would host the event in the SATEC cafeteria and serve light snacks, tea, coffee and hot cocoa to enjoy while we paint.

We need to have at least 35 participants to book the event.

On Thursday, we had a special visitor, Dr. Josh Bongard from the Morphology, Evolution & Cognition Laboratory in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Vermont. A group of 7th graders were invited to join him and learn about the vast applications for computer science and coding as well as learning a little about his work in robotics.
