Walking Wednesday was a hit!!!
Thank you to everyone that was able to participate in our first Walking Wednesday of the year. We had over 100 students and family members join us today. Thank you to our School Resource Officer, Will Furnari, for coordinating the St. Albans Police Department’s assistance.
School Sing News from Lea Menkens - School Sing Chairperson
Welcome back to another year of gathering together to share music, dancing, poetry, and various celebrations throughout the year. We had our first School Sing on Sept. 5th, and it was great to have a new group of Kindergarten students joining us. We always miss our departed Grade 5 students, but we know a lot of special events take place as they get older, too.
As always, we will be collecting donated items for several area agencies, and we thank you in advance for your continued generosity as you support us in this endeavor to give back to our community.
The items we are collecting until November 7th all go to the Humane Society. They are looking for the following items:
- Dry and canned cat, kitten, dog and puppy food. (Iams and Pedigree brands are preferred)
- Dog leashes, collars, and small toys
- Catnip and small toys
- Liquid laundry detergent, liquid bleach, large-sized hand sanitizer, trash bags, and paper towels.
- White printer paper, postage stamps, and toilet paper.
Thanks again, and we hope to see many visitors this year. We ask that students sit with their classmates during our school sing activities. We do kindly ask that the seats next to our students be reserved for our teachers. We start at 8:30 until 9:00 every Friday morning. Fun is had by all, so do come and join us!
