SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
WE WILL BE WALKING ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15th-weather looks perfect!
SATEC has been participating in the Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) walking and biking to school program. We have been walking to school on Wednesday mornings. We want to make sure that we have your permission to have your child/children participate in the program. You can drop your children off at one of our five starting locations (see below), have them join us as we walk by your house, or your children can exit one of our two buses that drive right by our starting locations to walk into school. We will walk each Wednesday (weather permitting) until early November and then once per month during the winter (weather permitting). If you would like to have your children participate please sign the permission slip that was handed out to your children.
SATEC Staff supervised walking school bus starting locations 2014-2015:
- Barlow Street School- Departs at 7:40AM (Mr. Rousselle)
- Knights of Columbus- Departs at 7:45AM (Cricket, Route 5) (Mrs. Marlow)
- Intersection of Parsons and Orchard Street - Departs at 7:35 AM (Mr. Madden)
- Intersection of Thorpe Ave. Ext. and Bradley Court - Departs at 7:35 AM (Sonia, Route 8) (Mrs. Stebbins)
- Tanglewood Drive- Departs at 7:40AM -Mrs. Curry will not be walking on 10/15- Students can join Mrs. Stebbins at the end of Meadowbrook Lane at about 7:45am if they still would like to walk.
Champlain Valley Head Start: Pre-School Opening at SATEC
There is an opening for a child who lives in St. Albans and is 3-5 years-old. The program runs from 11:45-3:15 Tuesday-Thursday. And it’s FREE! Any interested families may contact Michelle Allen at (802) 524-5876 ex.4 or Bonnie Massey-Preston at (802)524-5876. Thank you!
Pick a Time is now open to schedule your parent conferences. Conferences will be held the week of October 13th-17th. There will be no school on Friday, October 17th due to parent conferences. If you need assistance with Pick A Time please call Tammy Deso at 752-2700.

Uniform Return
As we enter the last week and half of soccer we want to remind players that their jerseys need to be handed in to Ms. Rose in the back lobby. All Jerseys need to be washed and placed in the plastic bag that there were given in, along with the sheet that identifies their name, #, and team. There will be a blue bin for students to put the jerseys in.
