SATEC Community,

SATEC dealt with some student drug and alcohol policy
violations last week.  We are unable to give you specific
details as this could be a breach of confidentiality for students
and we have to be careful not to interfere with an active police
investigation regarding minors.

Here is a link to the: Maple Run Drug and Alcohol Policy

I can assure you that we take this issue very seriously and
with this type of policy violation we involve parents, counselors
and law enforcement.

I think it is always important that parents are in constant
communication and oversight of their children and have open
discussions about safety on many levels.

We are discussing the possibility of hosting an informational
night for parents to review a variety of topics teenagers are
dealing with today (such as safe use of technology and the
dangers of the use of drugs and alcohol and how to keep kids safe).
Please stay posted for additional information on this event.

Thank you,

Mrs. Stebbins
