PBIS (Tip #7) -

  Verbal praise and encouragement is a very effective tool for teaching and maintaining positive behavior.  Praise and encouragement should be specific and clearly linked to the behavior that is being reinforced -  examples ~“I like how you are picking up your dishes/toys.”  “You must feel proud of your report card.” “Thanks for being responsible and putting away your bike.”  “Great job following directions at the grocery store today!”

FRIGHT NIGHT AND 7/8 DANCE

Student Council will be hosting it’s 2nd Annual Fright Night for grades 1-6 on Friday, October 28th from 5:00-6:30.  Students must come with a chaperone.

The 7/8 Dance will also be held on Friday, October 28th from 7:00-9:00.  The 7/8 Dance is not a costume dance. $3.00 for admission

Uniform Return

All soccer jerseys need to be washed and placed in the plastic bag that there were given in, along with the sheet that identifies their name, #, and team. There will be a blue bin for students to put the jerseys in. Jersey that have not returned by October 23rd will be considered “lost” and those players will receive a bill for $30.00 to help replace it.

SATEC’s Student Council invites you to

“ A Night of Fright and Fun” on Friday, October 28th at school.

$3.00 Admission per student

Additional students who are siblings $2.00

5:00-6:30 for K-6  

(Parental attendance is required)  

SATEC students and families in grades K-6 can experience the new and improved haunted hallway, creepy feel box, fortune telling, face painting, games, music, photo booth and a costume contest.

$3.00 Admission  

There will also be a snack bar. Cost of the photo booth is $3.00. Costume contest categories include; best homemade costume, most “halloweeny” costume, most colorful costume, and top prize, best of show.

       Establish the routine.   Changing it up may be necessary to keep it fresh - may need to add new expectations for changing situations (adding a pet to family, after school activity).  A point or a sticker is just a token - the real payoff is the positive interaction!!
