School Budget revote will be tomorrow at the Collins Perley Sports Complex from 7am-7pm.
Here are a few important facts to consider when looking at our FY17 budget:
1- The SATEC per pupil spending for FY17 is $13,237.30, which is $1,000.00 lower than the projected statewide average for FY17. This amount is lower than the statewide average for the 2013-2014 school year which was $13,524.
2- SATEC was below the cost containment CAPs set by the state and we were informed on February 26 that we were exempt from the cost containment CAPs due to our low per pupil spending.
3- SATEC enrollment remains stable and is not expected to decrease. To maintain a responsible anticipated tax rate (of less than a one penny increase) we will not be filling a full time teaching position left vacant through retirement (despite our stable enrollment).

Reminder - Kindergarten Open House is tonight.
If you live in St. Albans Town and your child will be 5 years old by September 1, 2016 please stop by and visit St. Albans Town Educational Center for our Kindergarten Open House on April 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM or 5:00 PM- 5:45PM. You and your child will get a chance to meet the teachers, other staff, and tour the Kindergarten. If you have not yet registered your child, this is an opportunity to do so. We will also be scheduling Kindergarten Screenings for June. If you are unable to attend, you can stop by the office any school day from 7:00 to 3:30 to pick up a registration packet.
Parent/Teacher Conferences:
The Pick A Time link for scheduling parent conferences is now open. If you have questions or need help with the scheduling contact Tammy Deso at 752-2700. There will be no school on May 2nd for parent conferences.

Open Doors still has openings for the last session. (Fun with Art, Pokemon, Intramural Sports, Magic the Gathering, Fashion Design, and Arduinos)
