What to do when my child is ill?
Parents will be notified if a child becomes ill at school. If no contact can be made, the nurse and school personnel will decide on a course of action. Students who are to be sent home when they are ill need to be seen by the nurse and dismissed from the Health Office.
Please keep your child home from school if they exhibit any of the following:
- Temperature over 100 degrees F **Student must be fever free without medication for 24hrs before returning to school.**
- Uncontrolled cough or difficulty breathing
- Vomiting twice within 24 hours; persistent diarrhea
- Severe headache, especially with fever
- Red eyes with dark or “crusty” discharge; discolored nasal discharge
- Severe ear pain
- The presence of a skin rash, especially if accompanied with fever
- Any reason they cannot pay attention because of psychological or physical issues.

Has your income recently changed? Families are encouraged to apply for Free/Reduced meals anytime throughout the year if any income changes. If you need assistance completing application contact Tammy Deso 752-2700.
Tim's House Wish List:
We will be collecting the following items between November 22nd and January 31st at School Sing on Friday Mornings. Your donations will benefit our local homeless shelter.
Personal Care Items: Toothbrushes, dental floss, toothpaste, liquid soap, shampoo, small-sized deodorant, hand lotion, lip balm, Q-tips razors, shaving cream, and hand sanitizer.
Other: Liquid laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, Kleenex- both large boxes and individual packets.

St. Albans Rotary Ski Bus
Do you know a young person who is ready for skiing and riding this winter or would like to learn to ski or ride? Join the St. Albans Rotary Ski Bus! The bus runs for 10 Saturdays starting the first Saturday in January
to Smugglers Notch. The program is for students age 10 through
high school seniors.
Pick up and return times are:
Swanton - Departs at 7:15 am - Arrives at 5:15 pm. (126 Grand Avenue)
SATEC - Departs at 8 am - Arrives at 5:00 pm.
NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR! BFA Fairfax - Departs at 8:30 am - Arrives at 4:30 pm.
Students must register online by Thursdays at noon before each Saturday: http://www.stalbansrotaryclub. com. Individual Saturdays are $25, a season pass is $200 paid in advance online. Snowboard and ski lessons and rentals are free on non-holiday weeks!
Scholarships are available! Applications are available through the Warner Home Scholarship

Breakfast After the Bell is available to all students to have breakfast in their classroom. The cost is $1.60 a day ( no charge for students who qualify for free/reduced school meals). Many students also use this as their snack for the day.
Reminder: When sending in notes for your child, please list first and last name along with classroom teacher.
