 Monday, January 10th

Greetings SATEC Community,

We received information that several members of our school community have tested positive for COVID 19.

We have communicated with the affected students/staff about their quarantine requirements.

We encourage all staff, students, and families to follow all the necessary COVID guidelines (wearing masks, staying home when sick, physical distancing, and handwashing) and communicate with one of our nurses if you or your children might have symptoms or have tested positive with COVID-19.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.

Lunch Menu week of 1/10.  Please Remember that there is no fee for Breakfast and Lunch again this year. We do ask however that you still complete the Free and Reduced Meals Application as that eligibility also is used for the P-EBT Program.

Memo from the Health Office:
If you have notified the school that your student is vaccinated, and the student is deemed a close contact at school, you will get an exposure notification letter in your email. You will be notified of the exposure so that you can monitor your vaccinated child for symptoms. It is not necessary for you to notify the school again of their vaccination status.

What does it mean to be fully vaccinated based on the updated guidance?

If your child is fully vaccinated, meaning they have received a booster shot OR Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series LESS than 6 months ago and have not had a booster shot OR Johnson & Johnson vaccine series LESS than 2 months ago and have not had a booster shot. 

If you have not had an opportunity yet, and would like to share your child’s updated vaccination status with the SATEC Health Office (to assist with any required contact tracing) please email a copy of the updated information to: satec_health@maplerun.org

After School Activities

We wanted to share the protocol for students that are needing to participate in the Test to Stay program and how it impacts athletics.

Students that are needing to participate in the Test to Stay program due to an in school exposure are eligible to practice with their team but are not able to attend or participate in games vs. other schools.

With the increase in case counts in the community and games starting up again this week we wanted to share this information with families.

Basketball Schedule Week of 1/10-1/15 Game Information

• Masks must be worn indoor at all game sites for both players and fans

• Please arrive at games dressed and ready to play as there is no guarantee that locker rooms will be available at game sites

• At this time due to scheduled game times and availability of buses we will not be providing bus transportation for away games this season. 

We need your help at games:

• Coaches will likely be looking for help with keeping the book at games and running the score clock. Please let your player’s coach know if you are willing to help. Thank you.
