Junior Iron Chef Bake Sale
Open Door’s competitive cooking program, Junior Iron Chef will be hosting a bake sale in the main hallway during Open House. Stop by and purchase a sweet treat, flavored popcorn, or a beverage. All proceeds will benefit the Junior Iron Chef program.
Immediately following the 5-8 Open House on Thursday there will be a beginner band instrument rental session along with a meet and greet in the band room. The band room is located in C wing by the 7th and 8th grade classrooms. This is required for families who are renting an instrument through Ellis Music - but anyone who has a student participating in beginner band is welcome to join.
Walking Wednesday is on again for Wednesday, 9/21
SATEC participates in the Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) walking and biking to school program. We walk to school on Wednesday mornings. You can drop your children off at one of our five starting locations (see below), have them join us as we walk by your house, or your children can exit one of our two buses that drive right by our starting locations to walk into school. We will walk each Wednesday (weather permitting) until early October and then once per month during the winter (weather permitting). We want to make sure that we have your permission to have your child/children participate in the program so we have handed out permission forms for you to sign.

- Knights of Columbus- Departs at 7:45AM (Cricket, Route 5)
- Intersection of Parsons and Orchard Street - Departs at 7:40 AM
- Intersection of Thorpe Ave. Ext. and Bradley Court - Departs at 7:40 AM (Sonia, Route 8)
- Tanglewood Drive- Departs at 7:40AM
3/4 Girls Basketball Clinic Coach needed:
SATEC Athletics is looking for a coach to run our 3/4 girls basketball clinic.
The clinic will begin in October and run 4 weeks with 2 practices a week until November.
