Congratulations to our SATEC Fitness Team! We had four 1st place finisher
Tanner Poquette and Abi Lewellen for push ups, Calvin Storms and Anthony Matas finished first overall in every event. Huge accomplishments! Also, a big thank you to our two 8th graders Calvin Storms and Lydia Hodgeman who have been on our fitness team for four years we will miss them.
Dear Families,
We wanted to share some information about the upcoming NGSS and SBAC State testing that students at SATEC will be participating in. The NGSS is a science assessment administered in Grades 5 & 8. This assessment provides information about general science knowledge and science process skills. The SBAC is a comprehensive assessment of English Language Arts and Mathematics for students in Grades 3-8. This assessment is given online and students have been learning how to take tests in an online format throughout the school year. The scores are shared by the Vermont Agency of Education as one measure of our school performance and we use the scores to help us plan for how to better support students.
In order to provide a positive testing environment and encourage students to get plenty of rest in the evenings we will not be assigning homework for students in all grades (K-8) . We ask that you please encourage your children to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and to try their best. Services for students will focus on providing accommodations for the tests.

SATEC’s Open Doors’ After School program will be offering three amazing camp weeks during the month of July!
Camps weeks are July 9-13, July 16-20 and July 23-27th.
Offerings include cooking, sports and adventures, art, theater, and beyond.
Our camps are filled with enriching activities and fun off site trips that take us into our community and beyond! Brochures will be handed out in classrooms this upcoming week!

“For the Love of Animals”
This summer we will be offering opportunities for students to share and foster their love of animals. During these weeks, students will travel off site to community organizations that help support our 4 legged friends and have experiences to appreciate all living things with in their habitats.
