Bonjour, 3rd and 4th grade families! It's time to sign up for your student to take
French this year. All 3rd and 4th graders can take French. This year, students
will have a weekly asynchronous class in Google Classroom (not live) but
with occasional Wednesday check-in meetings to practice face-to-face with their
teacher. Watch a short video to welcome students to French and then OPT IN by completing
the French sign-up survey. Please complete the sign up this week so classes
can begin next week for students. Email any questions to Dot Goulet dgoulet@maplerun.org
Merci!
--> Bonjour, 5th through 8th grade families! There is still a little room in
French classes this year for most grade levels. French will be held remotely
(and maskless!) with hybrid students, Virtual Academy students, and some
SACS students this year on students' at-home days. Watch a short video to welcome students to the middle school French classes and OPT IN through this short form as soon
as possible. Course information will go out this week and live Google Meet
classes will start Monday for Green Group students and Thursday for Blue
Group students. Virtual students will be balanced between the two cohorts.
Email any questions to Dot Goulet dgoulet@maplerun.org
SATEC Meal Pick Up
During the 2020-2021 School Year Meal Pick Up at SATEC will be available on
Tuesday and Fridays (receive 3 breakfast and 3 lunches), between
the hours of 11:30-12:30.
Meal Pick Up will be available at the front Window of the school
We do ask that you order ahead of time so that we can have an appropriate
meal count. Orders need to be placed by 9:00 am the day of pick up. Please call or email tdeso@maplerun.org or 752-2700.
Currently all children ages 0-18 are eligible for free meals until further notice.
We are hopeful this will last until December 31st.
We ask that families still complete the application for free/reduced meals.
This will allow us to have the application on file when funding is no longer
available.
Library Book Returns:
We are looking for help in getting our library books back to their home here at
SATEC. We are thrilled that we were able to put in circulation over 2,500
books this spring. We want to thank all the families that have sent back books
so far.
We want to ask families to look around their homes and help us recover
the last 1,000 books that we still have out from this spring. Thank you!!
Student Arrival/Dismissal
Arrival Reminders:
Student Drop Off: Students may be dropped off between 8:15 and 8:45.
Students should not arrive at school before that time.
Cars will drop off students at the front of the building and all students will
undergo a temperature check/health screening at that time. Students that
arrive by bus will be dropped off in the back of the building where they
will undergo a temperature check/health screening.
Dismissal Reminders:
Student dismissal will begin at 3:15.
Buses will load in the front of the building. Staff will be checking bus rosters
each day.
Students will be picked up in the back of the building. We will have one
lane of traffic. Staff will greet cars and write down the names of students to
be picked up. It is helpful to have the homeroom teacher name as well.
We ask that you remain in your vehicle.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to make minor adjustments to
this new procedure.
Due to the need to contact trace during this time we will be printing bus
rosters each afternoon at 1:00pm. Any changes need to be called in to
the school by 1pm each day. Thank you for your understanding.
