Red Ribbon Week

This year’s Red Ribbon Week theme is Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free. The theme is a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength.

This year we are celebrating October 23rd-31st. Next week SATEC will have a couple of theme days, contests and activities to show strength and bravery. Students can ask their teacher for details about the National photo/video contest and the 2021 Theme contest.

Monday and Thursday (10/26 and 10/29) will be ‘Turn your back on drugs, your future is bright’ (wear your bright clothes backwards and/or inside out).

Tuesday and Friday (10/27 and 10/30) will be wear red day

Be Happy. Be Brave. Be drug free!

Students are getting ready for Red Ribbon Week is Oct 23rd -Oct 31st, 2020. This year's theme is: BE HAPPY. BE BRAVE. BE DRUG FREE. At school, students will engage in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle.

Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family. Ask your child to let you know about the theme days, and the flyer he/she received from school about Red Ribbon Week.

Want a fun way to start or continue the conversation about drugs with your children? National Family Partnership is sponsoring a photo contest, simply take a creative picture of your children/family, and include the red ribbon logo and send it to: lsutton@maplerun.org. We will put together all the pictures/videos sent and SATEC will enter the contest!

Log onto www.redribbon.org for more information about this program.

SATEC's online Wildcat Apparel store is up and running. Deadline is November 8th with an estimated completion date of December 1st.
