Operation Happiness Food Drive Competition
November 16th-December 11th
Operation Happiness is a community initiative run by dedicated volunteers that relies heavily on the generosity and support of our community. With over 300 volunteers joining together each year, Operation Happiness is able to provide baskets of food during the holidays to over 1,100 families throughout Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. (https://unitedwaynwvt.org/operation-happiness)
Every holiday season, SATEC families give back to the community in various ways. This year, we will once again be hosting a food drive to support Operation Happiness. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our collection efforts will look a little different this year.
In the past, we hosted friendly competitions between grade levels. This year, we’re coming together as a school, with a goal of 1000 total food items!
In 2017, we donated a total of 950 items.
In 2018, we donated a total of 1300 items.
In 2019, we donated a total of 650 items.
Can we reach 1000 in 2020? Let’s do it!
If you can spare any non-perishable food items, please send them in with your child. There will be a designated area in each grade’s community to leave items. Thank you for your contribution to our food drive!
