In celebration of Donna Deslauriers who is retiring at the end of the month from our IT Department we are holding a Hawaiian Shirt Day on Thursday, December 17th.

Tuesday, December 22: Festive Day: Students and Staff will dress however they feel represents festive.
SATEC COVID Update
December 14, 2020
Greetings SATEC Community,
As you are aware, SATEC had a COVID case in 2nd grade and we placed all staff and students in a remote learning environment beginning 12/2/2020. Staff and students who were required to quarantine have done so and those who have received a negative COVID test have been welcomed back to school. We brought all our second grade classes back into school on Monday, December 14, 2020.
On Sunday, December 13, 2020 the Department of Health confirmed a second case of COVID that was determined, after extensive contact tracing, to have been transmitted at school and connected to our case on December 3rd. Due to the second case being confirmed the DOH considers this to be an “outbreak” even though it is two individuals and they have not been in school since December 1st.
I want to make sure that our school community was aware of this as I am sure it will be announced in the media later today or on Tuesday.
While COVID is spreading in the community we are continuing to follow safety protocols to create a safe place for our learning community. It is important to continue to follow safety protocols at home and at school (i.e. hand washing, maintaining physical distancing, wearing masks).
We are fortunate that with close collaboration with the Department of Health, we took steps early on in this situation to contain the spread of the virus.

Pick up Meals at SATEC
Starting week of December 7th. Meal pickups will be available on Friday’s only 11:30-12:30. Meals will be picked up from outside the kitchen doors. Please contact Tammy Deso 752-2700 or tdeso@maplerun.org to sign up for the meals.
There will be no meal pick up during winter break.
